The desk based archaeological assessment produced in 2002 for Countryside Strategic Projects has been updated following pre-application consultation with the Development Control Liaison officer (Charles Parry) at Gloucestershire County Council over an additional SMR search.
This SMR search has not revealed any evidence of archaeological features predating the medieval period (remnant field system). In these circumstances a form of wording for a condition/s to cover recommendations for a future watching brief/field evaluation has been agreed as part of a related pre-application consultation.
